Small Group Fellowships
God loves you and wants each follower of Jesus to grow. For reasons God knew in his wisdom, he made it so much of this growth continues in a community with other believers in Jesus. So knowing Jesus better includes a relationship with Him (Acts 2:46; Romans 16:5a) and others.
God's plan for every Christian person is that they would help others. This includes one person sharpening another's encouragement and love for Jesus, in a setting you can trust a few people you know in. Small groups are there to provide you the benefit of a fellowship time, in a comfortable setting, with other Christians talking about God's Word in very practical, useful ways.
We also love how by meeting others you are able to team up in order to help those in the community with your gifting from God (some are encouragement experts, some are good at showing mercy, some are good at serving, and so on; together they're stronger).
We invite you to take the next step and visit a small group with other Christians just like yourself!
...how do I try one out...
To try a fellowship group out simply ask Pastor David or Pastor Jesse about being a guest to explore going to one. We'll help by giving you the info about them and point out the options that are close to you.
Most of our fellowship groups meet once a week in non major holiday months.
Woodbridge Bible Fellowship has people attending and visiting from all over Wylie, Sachse, Garland, Plano, Murphy and Rowlett. Our goal is to connect you with a group that easy to get to so its not a burden during a busy week.
...truth applied to real life...
Sunday morning messages are based on a certain portion of the Bible. So what a fellowship group does is from the chapter around it to ask "so what should we do with this?" and "what might God be challenging us to do with this in daily life?"
Rather than forgetting message after message, you will have the opportunity to clarify questions, encourage others, and think through how one may apply truth.
There is no "perfect" Christian at Woodbridge Bible. That's why truth to life, or practical applying of the Bible makes sense in setting with friends. Applying new truths or its reminder are ways that actually impact real struggles or goals.
See you Sunday morning as you get info and meet some new Christian friends.
