Member Opportunities...

As a brand new church, you can make a real impact for God's kingdom.  If you attended a more established church you might be able to have lots of programs, but they really don't need your gifts, there's people already there with them.

This is why it is especially rewarding to be in a new church plant.

1.  Fellowship.  Encourage others each week using God's Word.

2.  Outreach / Evangelism.  This can be done in service projects, at events, and through small groups where the Bible is brought to real life.

3.  Set-up.  There is sound/audio equipment.  But there are lighter items as well especially for banners or children's ministry.  This is always a big help to others.

4.  Prayer.  By being a part of something new, there is a lot to pray for and a lot of people to meet.  It's exciting, but important to have sustained prayer of blessing.  Small groups are also places to lead by keeping track of prayer (1st Timothy 2:1).

5. Children's volunteers (Matthew 19:14).

6.  Youth volunteers.

7. Givers.  A new church is a place where your giving impacts lives.  It is going directly to real ministry and evangelism rather than merely 'keeping things going.'

We do offer brief spiritual gifts 'surveys' from pastoral leaders that can point out some ideas if you don't know where to start.

A bit more on ... Small Groups Opportunities

The 'small group' is our primary place of spiritual growth together outside of Sunday mornings.  These are a chance to practice what the Bible calls the "oikos," or the household aspect that the New Testament church did, so what is this?  In places like the end of chapter two in the book of Acts, you may pick up on this biblical idea.  It can be summed up simply:  church life is not just about a big room with lots of people, but also studying the Bible and praying together in a small setting.  God has blessed you with gifts, which may include some encouragement, service, acts of mercy, and so on:  these allow you to use your God-given gifting practically.

A bit more on ... Children's Team Members

Those serving on the children's team are committed to investing in the future of families, culture, and the church.  With our emphasis on children's ministry, you will be able to be a part of a core work at Woodbridge Bible Fellowship. The children's team as volunteers are of course (as is expected today) subject to background checks at various points along the way.  We provide volunteer training and discussion times every so often to grow or share great ideas.  Volunteers are able to serve in this area on a regular basis through a rotation (so that no one has to do everything all the time).  Children are a blessing!

Now what?  For any of the above service opportunities, come to worship, and speak to Pastor David or Pastor Jesse or send us an email and start attending!
